How much money do Supercross racers make?

An average rider might earn anywhere between $85,000 and $100,000 per year, but there are several factors that influence how much a rider earns. The majority of their revenue comes from team sponsors. If a manufacturer team sees potential in a rider, they will sponsor them. They will pay you a yearly salary divided into 12 monthly pay checks. The races are another major source of income for them. The first place prize in the 2020 Anaheim was $12,000, while the second place prize was $2,000. To make it a career rather than a hobby, the riders must routinely place at the top. They can also profit from endorsements, team racing, and other promotional activities.

What is the value of Ken Roczen’s bike?

While the “Big Four” Japanese brands remained on the sidelines, KTM dealers made a killing by selling next year’s bike six months early. The Dungey Edition improved KTM’s reputation, boosted traffic to its showrooms, and, most importantly, increased market share. The inevitable happened in 2019 when Honda announced it would sell a Honda CRF450 Works Edition, dubbed the Roczen Edition after Ken’s number was emblazoned on it. You might be inclined to compare the Honda Roczen Edition to the KTM Factory Edition, but this isn’t the case. Honda refused to open a dedicated production line in November in order to deliver next year’s race bikes into the hands of its team riders (and 400 customers) six months ahead of schedule. Instead, the Roczen Edition is released with the production bike. The price of the CRF450WE in 2019 was $11,499, however it has risen to $11,999 in 2020. As a result, it is the most costly motocross bike available.

MXA chose to put the 2019 Honda CRF450WE and the stock Honda CRF450 to the test. We wanted to see if the $2400 price difference between the Roczen Edition and the basic CRF450 was worth it.
